Nins Ortega,
the artist behind EOS, born in Brasil, now living on Cape Cod - US. Is a multimedia creator whose practice is directed towards interconnection. They seek to give visibility to their Brazilian culture and celebrate what emerges when cultures intersect. Nins is also driven by questions of how to live a dignified life through art in the midst of capitalism, imperialism, and ongoing colonialism. They are looking for answers in community and the flow of art making itself. Their work is an invitation for people to sharpen their inner compass for what inspires them and their methods revolve around play and the pursuit of the present.
Nins works primarily with photography, illustration, handbound books and they are beginning to experiment with small scale construction. Nins’ path began with wedding photography and videography in 2009, which led to over 250 weddings shots by 2018. Since they moved to Cape Cod, their portfolio grew with portraiture, food and product photography. Their photos and writings have been printed by Cape and Islands Magazine, Travel and Leisure, and Long Shore Drift. In 2025, they joined the artist studio at the Cordial Eye, where their photography has also been exhibited. They will be completing the Cordial Eye’s Creative Futures Fellowship by May 15th.
